Interview with Sarah Buscho of Earth Tu Face

Sarah Buscho Earth tu faceJoin Sarah Buscho and I as we dive into her life growing up around herbs and gardens, and how she turned that love into and gorgeous skin care line, Earth Tu Face, a thriving business that gives back. Starting with just an idea, Sarah created an all natural skin care line that has landed her on the pages of ELLE, Bazaar, Domino, Instyle, Allure and many more. The line is made of food-grade ingredients and is made in California with USA made recyclable and/or compostable packaging. Pretty cool of Sarah!

Sarah recently launched COSMOS which is a complete skin care regime at a much lower price that is sold at urban Outfitters.

Sarah Buscho was raised around healing and gardening from day one. Growing up in Marin County, her family grew most of their food organically in a garden that was both Sarah’s playground and one of her greatest teachers. It quickly became one of her biggest inspirations as well; as a child, Buscho’s allergies and extremely sensitive skin propelled her to return to nature for a solution. Buscho eventually found an answer in plant-based oils, which she began using as a moisturizer. Informed and encouraged by these experiences, Buscho studied Indigenous Medicine at The University of California, Santa Cruz, and worked at complimentary medicine store Herb Room, where she learned about Western, Chinese and Ayurvedic healing and herbs. In 2002, she traveled to Southern Mexico for a field study program, gaining invaluable hands-on experience alongside a native Mayan healer & indigenous doctors. Buscho went on to receive a clinical herbalist certification at The Ohlone Herbal Center in Berkeley and study aromatherapy. Using her exceptional knowledge of the properties and characteristics of plants, she began creating her own formulas, eventually establishing the natural, intrinsic skincare line Earth Tu Face. The garden in Marin County, where Sarah’s path began, is now used to grow organic roses, lavender buds and calendula for the line’s healing products.
