Finding more buyers

finding more buyersBuilding your buyer black book (AKA your bible of potential customers) can be a tedious task if you don’t know where to look.

Be sure you know who your target market is, and where they live. ONLY spend time looking for stores in those specific areas. Anywhere else is a waste of time.

Only you can know the story behind who you sell to and where they live……Give it some thought.  If you sell a high end product in the $250+ range, then one thing to consider is where people live who would want and need your products, and if their lifestyle and job affords them the luxury of buying it. That will help you narrow it down.

Here are a few ways you can speed up your search and build that list of potential buyers more quickly.

  1. Look at a few competitor (or complimentary) websites list of stores
  2. Read magazines to find new stores
  3. Blogs compile lists of the “best of xxx”
  4. Google stores in specific cities “Best shopping in (city)”

It is important to always build this list so you can have a bigger pond to fish in at all times.  When some stores are buying, others may not, but if you have lots and lots…….there are usually enough buying from you at a time to keep the business moving forward.
