Do you ever wish your company appeared to have 25 employees? Or at least feel like you do when responding to emails about everything under the sun? What’s my tracking, my zipper broke, can I place an order? I get it, and want to share how you can easily make your company appear bigger in a few minutes!
When questions come flying at you from all directions, it’d be nice to have 25 employees right? One of the investors in my handbag business once told me that I should NOT be answering the phone at all (WHAT, just let it ring?), or even responding to emails about returns, exchanges, or even store buyers….. I should let my “staff” do it.
He shared that famous designers didn’t answer the phone, and therefore neither should I.
I didn’t really get it to be honest. It was SOOO hard to just let the phone ring when I could easily grab it and close a deal…. Or help someone with a return or exchange.
But I did learn to let it all go….. It took a few months for me to “ignore” it all. I really hated it though as I loved talking to people. It was fun.
When I launched my second company I was all alone and didn’t have staff to do all this stuff for me. I developed an easy fix that I want to share with you.

In this podcast, I really get to know Becca Brown. She is such an enthusiast about her brand and products that you totally see why Solemates are a girl’s best friend.
Who’d a thunk that heel caps would be such a big thing right? We’ve all been to grass party events, and weddings where your heel just sinks down and you know your shoes are ruined…. Or they need an emergency trip to the shoe doctor right?
Becca and her co-founder Monica had the same experience over and over again until they had their ah-ha moment…..and grass events were never the same again!
She and I chat about how they started at night and on the weekends, got on Shark Tank, didn’t take the deal, pursued sales on their own, are now in over 10,000 stores and still do the sales themselves. Whew!
